Things I meant to post ages ago, pt 2
Earlier this year, one afternoon in Golden Week, Mrs C and I spent an afternoon wandering along the rocky edges of a river in Mifune. We had a rock tower building competition. Followed not long after by a rock tower destroying competition.
A few days later, I was bumbling about in the countryside, looking for some likely photo opportunities. I rounded a corner in a small village not far from here, and came to a river. Something in the river caught my eye – a tower of rocks, and not just one, but hundreds.
A local obaachan told me (because little old ladies know everything that’s going on) that they were the work of one man.
In the middle of the photo above, you can see his chair, from which he presumably surveyed all his hard work.
