The Evolution of KitKat

From its down-to-earth origins in the north of England, your friend and mine, the humble KitKat, has come a long way.

Long gone are the days when a simple red wrapper (when everything else was, after all, black and white) was enough to get it noticed on the shelf in the corner shop by some excitable little boy in need of an urgent sugar rush.

The KitKat has only managed to ensure its survival by evolving. And evolution has seen to it that the 21st century KitKat is quite a different animal…

    it looks like the bastard lovechild of an illicit liason between a kitkat and a milky way

    strangely attractive though

    the OED defines a baby rabbit as a KIT (Daily Express 7/7/08)
    does this help?
